KNM Helge Ingstad mayday call with english subtitlesSub 4 sub - i return all subsFoto: Erlend Bjørtvedt
I return all subs!
Sola TS:Helge Ingstad turn or we'll hit you Helge Ingstad:Nah i'm fine Sola TS:Its your funeral then😛😛
Der røyk 4 milliarder pluss 10 milliarder til for ett nybygg pga arroganse fra befal med stivpresset skulderpynt. Skylden er ene alene Helge ingstad sin. Det går an å slakke ned ved tvil, men nei.
Luckily the signaller of Helge Ingstad was a man. A Women as a signaller in such a situation would be very funny.
all theese americans talking shit, yet they lost 3 missile guided destroyers, but yet norway has only last 1 frigate, the helge can easily be replaced, but as a seamean i could see where the bridge crew of the helge ingstad felt they had no choice, ships on the port side, very very shallow waters on the starboard, regulations state they cant pass by the port side, and they was not able to pass on the starboard, before you say incompetent, then please consider using the last remainder of your braincells to grasp the concept off shallow waters, sea traffic regulations, etc, helge ingstad was basically pinned down and sola TS had no chance it hell of turning or slowing down in time.
Even a Greek shit sends them to the bottom ... No doubt the Norwegians feel safe! LOL!
The collision is at around 3:10
Add to this the Porter, the McCain, and the Fitzgerald. It's always NATO ships they target.
The captain is completely incompetent. How could he not know that the hull has been breached and that the ship is taking on water? He should be getting immediate damage reports from the crew and declaring an emergency.
An obvious case of incompetence in the command and preparation of personnel on board. And are you still surprised that it sinks after colliding with an oil tanker of more than 30,000 tons?
Also, it seemed the officer in command didn't want to make a decision to slow or stop, or crash stop. Fearful of reprimand?
Wow, I've always had a lot of respect for the Norwegians, there are some serious inadequacies in their training it would seem. Very serious. Very confused after collision, understandable. But, that's why you train for collisions. EVERY day. Unless you're just out for fun.
Well, Norway is a fucking rich country, so no problem sinking a warship worth half a billion by pure stupidity.
they have 134 crew aboard their ship, but not a single one of them is able to make the correct decision and instead go for the "my opinion is correct, if i say that we dont crash even though we are on crash course, we will not crash". absolutely astonishingly stupid. also keep in mind that this is a vessel made for discovering and engaging other ships for several miles around it, and its also a tad more manouverable than a fucking tanker. i didnt think people with that low of an iq were even allowed to serve in a position with that much responsibility, so either the quality and discipline of norwegian armed forces has taken a turn downwards, or something was done on purpose. and i dont really know which of these are worst, a terrible navy, or asshole plans coming down from a higher level of command.
Lmao, you actually think all 134 crew were awake and helping navigating the ship? At most we're talking 6 people taking part, and maybe a few more considering it happened during a covert exercise.
equality ftw xD
4 out of 5 crew on deck were female, do I need to say more? And no I am not sexist but there is a difference when you employ lesser skill people just to meet gender quota, it disgusts me more than sexism, because it is a form of sexism.
Thank you for uploading and the translation. All this bashing women in the armed forces in the comments is so unnecessary and uncalled for. With the same logic we could start listing the vast amounts of moronic events when there were only male personnel. The video is good though and quite entertaining: "We have hit an unknown object" - jeez...
They are bad luck aboard ship ,, well that's what my dad used to say in the Royal navy .
It usually happens when you go from sailing in drakars to manning modern ships ... 22 years ago Navantia started the design of the F-101 and there have never been major incidents, honey was not made for the ass's mouth.
Fatalities happen, I am a big fan of Navantia but there is no need to confront, partnership is about that too, and they have done an excellent job with the reports, just as one would expect of Norway ...
Tanker after collision: Men, let's close the damaged compartments, pump out the water and carry on. Womymen Frigate: panic panic panic panic panic need safe space the ship was penis shaped we feel violated panic panic panic is this water even vegan approved?
Media say that there had been only female on board.
Thanks God was not a missle hitting that vessel... Spanish crap at it's best
Your talking shit
What a complete abortion of an incident . Surely a Frigate would have given way to a slow and poor maneuvering Tanker ! A classic case of poor seamanship and navigation , someones balls should be hung out to dry for this . And as for thinking it was a part of the jetty , thats crap. That ship had Aegis , were they taking orders from the US Sailor on the ship . We know how much they have enjoyed collisions lately , at a cost of lives. One thing is for sure . The Frigate is a write off . Best build a new one. But the information is that the whole class may have a design fault and that could include the Spanish Aegis Frigates and the new Australian Destroyers . All built or designed by a Spanish company . It could be costly for that company and a right nightmare for Norway , being the Defence budget is so small.
@Jose Barro The damage is not the issue. Its the idiots on the bridge of the Frigate that is the issue. They are idiots if they think they have right of way over a fully laden Tanker. Anyway if Norway raises the ship and tries to repair it they are wasting money , its a write off . There wont be a single place that isn't affected by salt now. And i would have thought sitting on the rocks , the ship will most likely have dents and holes everywhere , oh and Spanish Steel , i have seen their Cars!
No. The ship had important damage. It had 2 large breeches
Pøh. Just as many Swedes and Danes as Norwegians talking here. I'm good a dialects but all these sounds almost the same. I need rewind several times to understand what being said.
Not true. All speaking different norwegian dialects. I'm norwegian.
Incompetence at a new level
Helge Ingstad just a year before was telling the Media how awesome they was by having 4/5 of the bridge crew being women. Feminism over professionalism is the reason thing went like this.
Not that new. The US Navy still has them beat with the Porter, the McCain, and the Fitzgerald.
FemFrigate was sunk by toxic masculinity! The crew of the civilian ship was obviously sexist and possibly racist and xenophobic.
>80% female crew
@Sunniva You're wrong, they have not given any information about who was on the bridge, the male voice on the radio and the american female observer are the only two confirmed. And 4 of 5 navigators on the ship are women, so odds are it was a woman.
@Salziges Wasser Let's wait and se the report from "Havarikommisjonen" before we judge anybody.
@Zero01k Well, is this a challenge between men and women? Just realize the facts. sweet men need women 😎
@Sunniva we get it sweety, you are a stronk independent womyn that needs no man
Absolute incompetence. It was night but, you know what, night happens every 12 hours.
Helsikkes guttunge fra Østlandet som står på broen... Jaja.
just looked a picture about sola ts....and only question what comes to my mind is...WTF they where doing in that warship, sola ts is "quite" big ass ship, how thw fuck they didnt see it or understand that if they hit it shit will hit the fan..... :D
I don't understand how this baby which is highly manoeuvrable hit with tanker
That was pretty embarrassing!!!!
What’s this about an American Naval Officer from an exchange program being on watch at the time?
We hit sometimg. !! Oh yes you just hit reality!!!
500 000.000. oh my oh my ! No More Moonshine !!!!!!
There is a frigate trying to be a submarin ! Let her !!!😂😂😂
norwegians..speaking politely.. event its on critical situation +disaster..if other nation.. dafinately..everybody start screaming+scoaling..each other.. amazing moment..in history.!!
My best friend took his internship on helge. For two years, less than two months after they manage to sink her :/
They have to be on drugs the captain should be shot.
Just cancelled my application to join the Norwegian Navy.
SMGJohn — LOL. And the admlssion requirements = Two bottles of vodka a day ?
Norwegian military is a joke, you better off get a real job, move to Russia and join a proper military full of proper men.
Guess asking (big balls) captain to join the big (s)crew orgy below deck wasnt such a wise idea after all. Whatever, we just blame the Russians again for jamming us like they once did with USS Donald Cook.
None of the female navigators were aboard the ship when this happened . 🧐
Lol. Professional navy. Don't see ships on radar and after don't even know what they collided with... what were they doing? Drinking beer and celebrating how they destroyed imaginary Russian NAVY?
They weren't using a radar, as they were doing a covert exercise, which means no active sensors, or lanterns. They most likely only received AIS signals, but that could've been faulty for whatever reason. Doesn't stop them from looking out the damned windows though; tankers aren't hard to spot, even at night :p
The Norwegian Navy are amateurs in the incompetence league, although they should get points for actually sinking their ship. But the United States Navy took 3 guided-missile destroyers out of action: the Porter, the McCain, and the Fitzgerald. NATO should change its name to Uh-Oh.
Yes, your navy is pretty much imaginary, running on blyad and vodka.
kerier1911 i have to say lol
All I hear is incompetence, or lack of ”balls” to take measures to solve the issue, from all the parties: Frigate watch officer, tanker pilot, and VTS controller.
@stabiz85 Thats wrong, its the pilot on Sola TS, the officer on watch at Helge Ingstad, and the operator from Fedje VTS who are charged by the police.
You're right. Because all of those three you mention have been suspended and have status as suspects, they could end up in prison. Still under investigation by the police. Btw, none of them are female.
With 4/5 navigators being female, "lack of balls" is hopefully true//
For reference once the tanker realized what was happening they did go full power astern... However a fully loaded tanker doesn't drop speed easily, nor does it turn very well, so it was up to the lighter craft, the frigate to make the evasion. So as a result, the frigate got a submarine conversion.
@krinord I am navy officer, and I know that in narrow passages, where the traffic is controlled by a VTS, then it has the authority to give orders to any ship, civilian or warship, in order to maintain navigation safety. If there is an extensive version of the VHF chatting with translation, I would listen to it too. But my opinion reffers to the actions of the pilot and VTS, AFTER, they acknoledged thet the "ghost" ship was the frigate. Especially VTS should have acted more aggresive in giving instructions to the frigate, including the order to crash stop and or full astern. That frigate is capable of emergency full stop from cruise speed, in less than half of a nautical mile. From my experience, I consider that the pilot and especially the VTS were too passive. When I encounter a vessel in a channel I talk to her skipper and agree on what would we do: we "do" green to green or red to red and then we act accordingly. As simple as that. The CO, XO and officer on the watch on that frigate should be thrown in jail.
Putin did it using his smartphone.
just to clear thing up for yall it was KNM's helges fault that they collided.
@Daily Madness yes, I know. But as I said, she had a powerfull escort tug still connected on the stern to slow her down and to assist with steering. I have passed through Fedje VTS many times already and know about local circumstances. All I'm trying to say is that sadly, Sola TS's bridgecrew and pilot are not fully without blame. (Even when the Helge Ingstad clearly is mostly responsible for the collision)
@sjem618 if you are a navigator by profession then you should know a tanker the size of sola ts takes several kilometers to slow down, and they did not have kilometers, plus sola was going its standard cruising speed, helge could not go port or starboard because they would have possibly hit something, so even if the tanker stopped propulsion they would still maintain same speed long after they hit the ingstad
Regulation 17 in the IMO's collregs state that: If the 'give way' ship alone cannot avoid collision, you also have to take measures to prevent it! This tanker pilot saw that a collision was going to happen and he also didn't do anything while he had a very capable tug connected on the stern. Many things went wrong on ALL sides. I'm a navigator by profession, and have had to take action to prevent collision while I was the stand-on vessel, more than I'd like to admit. :(
Thats what you get when you are ignorant af
4/5 of the navigators on Helge was female, just saying. ;) This remind me of how Norwegians crached a airforce fright plane on our tallest mountain, these guys military is too arrogant. Ohh NATO member = invinsible? True we Swedes love procedures a lot, but sometimes it's a good thing I guess.
David Wittberg You sound like some piece of shit Russian troll.
@Jake Colley You're joking right.
@Jake Colley >I don't think gender played any role in this ...
I don't think gender played any role in this... It would be wise not to extoll the virtues of your own armed forces until they have done something useful themselves.
@Icenor How so, the Vasa is still kicking 400 years later, *quality*. The ship is educating youth and providing fame, jobs and tax revenues, Vasa is a huge success...Helge? not so much..
And they make fun of Russian for being drunks! Blood test them all.
Good luck for the service people.
So no mayday call even though they were drifting and sinking? They just asked assistance from tug boats. Sometimes it is hard to believe that there is such thing as gmdss protocol.
they used whatever last propulsion they had and beached the ship on purpose, in hopes it could buy them some time for the tugs to arrive.
😂😂😀😀😅😁😂 Yanky equipment following the yanky trend of running into giant tankers! Well done, 'good job' Russia won't have anything to blow out the water soon
Fucking Oslo people driving the frigate, the Norwegian navy should navy personnel and officers from the coast regions of Norway that have lived on boats most of their lives
